Happy Birthday, Angela Lansbury

Angela Lansbury, five-time Tony Award winner and three time Oscar nominee, was born October 16, 1925. She has enjoyed a long and successful career on stage, screen, and television, and she's still going strong. Generations of fans know her from her celebrated stage work (Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, Blithe Spirit, and so many more), her films (including what is arguably her best performance as the cold and calculating Mrs. Iselin in The Manchurian Candidate - the performance that earned her a third Oscar nomination), and her voice, perhaps most memorably when she sang the title song of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. And to a child of the 80s and a mystery fan like yours truly, she will forever be best-selling author and amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote.
