This episode addresses cultural sensitivity, cultural competency and accessibility in a primary care setting. Cultural sensitivity, literacy training and bias training are now part of the curriculum in medical schools, but it did not exist even just 10 years ago. As a result, there are gaps in provider knowledge, skills and strategies to address these issues in their practice setting.
