When you apply for a job the most important part of the written application is the cover letter! Therefore, you should focus on quality instead of quantity – that means: Choose only a few vacancies to apply for and invest time and effort to write a cover letter that stands-out, that highlights your skills and personality and contains the right arguments why YOU bring value to the company. Writing cover letters was always my strength and I got invited to almost all job interviews for vacancies I had ever applied for. Have you ever wondered how a cover letter looks like from a person that made it to the job interviews? Because when you often get rejected, you have doubts, what you should do differently. You wonder, what the others do differently, that are invited to the job interviews, while you are not. But to my knowledge nobody has shared his or her cover letter so far when getting accepted for the job. I do it now. Together with this podcast I have published an e-book that you can download under this link for free: https://www.michaela-kettner.coach/_files/ugd/03c541_46b36207d7fe410f9cd3006b3b97b481.pdf It’s a pdf that contains four real-case examples. Four cover letters for which I got invited to the interviews and where I have added explanations why I have written the different sections in this way. I hope you will find it helpful and inspiring! If you would like to book a single session with me over one and a half hours to review and improve your own cover letter, please contact me via the formular on my website https://www.michaela-kettner.coach/book-consultation or via LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram (@michaela.kettner.fi).
