Irene López, the author of the book "Discursos Identitarios en el Folklore de Salta," will be sharing herself some ideas on one of the subjects that has been at the center of ours discussions. The relation between Identities, Popular Songs and Folklore. We will also listen to talk about a genre that generally is not included as part of the Folklore, La Cumbia. There are many genres in this rich region of the Americas that are not consider as part of the folkloric music and, I personally, start putting under a more thorough scrutiny "what does Folklore mean?"
