Leaf Resources (ASX: LER) shakes up chemical market with green technologies (w/ Ray Mountfort)

Leaf Resources (ASX: LER) managing director Ray Mountfort joins Small Caps to discuss the company's vision to become a global supplier of sustainable natural chemicals. Leaf has developed proprietary technology that converts plant biomass into lignin and industrial sugars for use in the biochemical, bioplastics and biofuel markets. It also recently diversified into the organic pine chemicals manufacturing market with the acquisition of Essential Queensland, which has developed a process to extract rosin and terpenes from pine logs. Leaf is planning to expand its newly commissioned Apple Tree Creek pine chemical plant to boost capacity from 8,000 tonnes per annum to 32,000tpa.
