Impact Minerals (ASX: IPT) managing director Dr Mike Jones joins Small Caps to discuss the company's strategic greenfields assets in two of New South Wales' major belts. The company has 815sq km of tenure known as the Broken Hill project in an area known for hosting the giant 300Mt Broken Hill silver-lead-zinc deposit as well as nickel-copper and PGM mineralisation. In the state's Lachlan Fold Belt, Impact owns the Commonwealth project which covers 902sq km of ground near Alkane's Boda discovery and numerous copper-gold deposits. Drilling is underway at Broken Hill and has unearthed high-grade nickel-copper-PGM corridors, while at Commonwealth target generation is being carried out in readiness for drilling next year.
