Episode 5 - Rosie Florence Parkes, 31

She can. She did. - A podcast by She can. She did.

Categories:

I’ve known today’s guest since the early days of She can. She did. and over the past two years her brand has been on quite a journey. Having launched what was previously known as Whistle & Bango with two fellow co-Founders at the age of 24, Rosie Parkes spent four and a half years running the luxury, personalised jewellery company alongside a full-time career in marketing before buying her co-Founders out a year and a half ago and going full-time with the business, rebranding to what is now called Florence London

Having previously stepped away from the business for a few months whilst her old job demanded more of her time however, the business that Rosie bought out eighteen months ago was not the business she had stepped away from a few months prior. In her own words, she unknowingly bought debt and a name.

From the lessons that particular experience taught her and how she went about repairing the company’s reputation and drastically improving the health of its balance sheet in the process; the lessons she drew from her experience working for a luxury boot brand in her early twenties and how she went about applying those lessons to Florence London; to the impact the business has had on her family and friends and why she’s now learnt to look after and make time for those around her; I’m so grateful that I got to sit down with Rosie and hear her story in full and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did…
