School of Hollywood Interview with Executive Producer and Showrunner Jeff Valdez.   Executive Producer and Showrunner Jeff Valdez, who spent a total of ten years trying to spring the show back and we talk about the process.  The Garcias—a reboot of the hit Nickelodeon series The Brothers Garcia—will premiere on HBO Max. This show aims to not only create a sense of normalcy for U.S. Latinos but also help change the narrative in our country that too often portrays them as cookie-cutter stereotypes. In The Garcias, we jump forward 15 years from the original series. The Garcia kids are now grown up and have children of their own.
