Bhagavad Gita Ch. 2 v. 37 - 40, The Birth & Killings of Krishna + The Yoga of Knowledge (Sankhya): In this episode, we hear about Krishna’s birth by Devaki & Vasudeva with the ominous prediction spoken from  the sky (Vahni Akasha - Ākāśa) that he would be the one to kill his uncle, the  insidiously evil Kansa (Kaṁsa), king of Mathura. All this as  background  description to the first verse of mantra Krishna Ashtakam (Krishnashtakam Kṛṣṇāṣṭakam) which references the killing of Kamsa &  his demonic henchman, Chanura (Cāṇūra).
