I first met Jayashree during my second trip to Mysore, India in 2002. She has a strong voice that makes learning to use our own voice not only easier, but pleasant too. I instantly knew she was a valuable gem and took every opportunity to study with her while I was there. If you look at the date of my chanting book, you will see the project began that same year (2002). My following trip 2004, Jayashree began teaching Yoga Sūtras chanting. I am incredibly fortunate to have learned Yoga Sūtras chanting from her. I cannot imagine a better foundation for studying the philosophy then having the sūtras readily available from memory. If we are patient & persistent - as long as you never quit - we will always continue learning. How much we can learn is mind boggling! So do not hesitate, do not postpone. Whatever you value, do not think of how daunting the project may be, just take it step by step and do not ever quit! I hope you enjoy this recording of Jayashree reciting the next chapter which we will begin studying next week on Thu (10/22/2020).
