Haṭha Yoga, Rāja Yoga, Suṣumnā Nāḍī, Samādhi & Liberation “When the prāṇa flows in the central channel (Suṣumnā Nāḍī), and the mind has entered emptiness (Śūnya), then the yogī is free from all karma.” – Haṭha Yoga Pradīpika Ch. 4 v. 12 Haṭha Yoga tries - through yogic practices - to bring the energy (Prana/Prāṇa) into the central channel known as the Suṣumnā Nāḍī. When this occurs in a big way, it creates the Samādhi, the yogic mystical experience of ones & liberation - well at least you are liberated while you are in Samādhi. Haṭha Yoga views this as the goal whereas Rāja Yoga or Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtras (Yoga Sutras of Patanjali) views Samādhi as a tool to obtain a permanent state of Samādhi called Dharma Megha Samādhi - the state of liberation, self-realization, Mokṣa (Moksha), Kaivalya, Nirvāṇa (Nirvana). Samādhi is an important tool in the long process of purification required to liberate ourselves from the baggage of our past. #yoga #ashtangayoga #liberation #selfrealization #sushumnanadi #samadhi #hathayoga #rajayoga #patanjaliyga
