Enlightenment (Nirbīja Samādhi) vs. the Yogic Experience - This week we finish the first chapter of Patañjali's Yoga Sūtras (Samādhi Pāda) discussing sūtras 1.46, 1.50 & 1.51: Patañjali tells us that even though yoga brings about great states of clarity & produces feelings of being in touch with our divine nature, he says this is only a Sabīja experience of reality. Keep going, keep practicing, keep cultivating yourself there is another possibility beyond what can be known & done. There is a state that is pure creative intelligence. In the first chapter, he calls this Nirbīja Samādhi which references the removal of all those things which obstruct the free flow of the infinite creative intelligence. In the fourth chapter (Kaivalya Pāda) he refers to this enlightened state in terms of how it acts by calling it Dharma Megha Samādhi (pouring forth virtue) … Listen to the chanting & the discussion and gain insight into the potential that yoga wants us to manifest … ॐ Tat Sat If you would like to follow along, with the chanting & lessons in this podcast, you can purchase our textbooks, Sanskrit & Chanting, through our website: ashtangayogaorangecounty.com/books, please enjoy and support this endeavor by sharing & reviewing it!
