New Climate Data: How is climate change priced into the market?

Climate risks have been reflected across sectors and industries for some time, and now it looks like they may even be reflected in public debt and even specific securities. Today, we talk to Shehriyar Antia, Vice President, Head of Thematic Research at PGIM, who will give us insight into how climate change is being priced into the market and the repercussions of this for investors.Shehriyar Antia is an award-winning macroeconomist with capital market experience in Asia and the US. During the financial crisis, Shehriyar led several analytical initiatives for senior policy makers in Washington and New York around the Fed’s QE programs. In 2013, Shehriyar left the New York Fed and established a bespoke economic research shop—Macro Insight Group—to provide independent macro research to institutional investors primarily in Europe and Asia. In 2017, Shehriyar was appointed Chief US Economist for Nippon Life Global Investors. He joined PGIM in 2019 as the Head of Thematic Research.
