Mark Carney wins Canadian election

Mark Carney has secured a new term for his Liberal party to become the next Prime Minister of Canada.   The election campaign was dominated by Canada's deteriorating relationship with the United States under the Trump administration, which made repeated threats to the country's sovereignty.
