Catherine of Aragon part 1
Queens Podcast - A podcast by Queens Podcast
Divorced, beheaded, died. Divorced, beheaded survived. The wives of Henry VIII, king of England are all famous, but sometimes his first queen, Catherine of Aragon can be overlooked. She was born in Spain in 1485 and was the daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, who had unified Spain. She was betrothed to Arthur, Prince of Wales, from a super young age. Sadly, things did not go as planned when Arthur Tudor died after just a few months of marriage. And now the Tudors (namely, Henry VII) just didn't know what to do with their little Spanish princess. Today we pair a pomegranate-based cocktail with a fascinating princess turned Queen, Catherine of Aragon. Also, Arthur Tudor. Did they or didn't they!?
