Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo, and Michael Kremer won the Nobel Prize in Economics 2019 “for their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty”. This experimental approach — Randomised Control Trials (RCTs) — is an alternative paradigm for conducting economics research.
