Sylvester Stewart aka Sly Stone, was an innovator and a musical prodigy. He successfully merged rock and soul music and created a new sound and genre. War was the soundtrack to every urban neighborhood in the early to mid 1970s. Both Sly Stone and War gave voice to the unheard. We pay tribute to Sly Stone.
