Can Anyone Break Into Hollywood?

Like a lot of filmmakers and producers who reach out to us, Mike wonders about his particular situation, and if it will stop him from achieving success. Mike asks: Dear Joke & Biagio, I’m an old guy who has been doing this on and off for a while: Writing/Producing, development, EP’ing–all at various levels. It’s been a few years since I seriously developed and pitched shows and the landscape has changed drastically. As someone in my 50’s who’s trying to “break back in”, is age a barrier? Your podcasts are spot-on and full of useful information-which I am taking to heart, but I wonder if my age will be a hindrance if I actually sell a series? (Let’s assume I am willing and able to put in whatever work is necessary and that stamina is not an issue).
