Welcome to Monday Motivation with Tory Archbold on the Powerful Stories Podcast. We are still in lockdown here in Sydney so I wanted to share with you my top tips for using this time to transform your thinking, so that you can propel yourself forward, not only personally but professionally.  Use your mornings to set yourself up for success. I used to think that I didn’t have time for myself but on a Buddhist retreat, my thinking was challenged. He asked me, ‘Who do you have a shower with in the morning?’ As a single mum, this was one of the only moments I have to myself. I was given the greatest tip which is simple, time saving and powerful. While in the shower, place three drops of lavender oil on your décolletage. Then slowly, and deeply, inhale and exhale three times and set up the intentions and purpose for the day. This morning routine gives me the power to intentionally start the day. Gratefulness also shifts energy. I use this morning routine at night, but rather than setting intentions, I take a moment to appreciate the wins. Now, I sleep well at night as I have a deep soulful connection. So, have some consideration for yourself and use that time in the shower to shift your mindset - daily. In ‘The Power of Now’ Eckhart Tolle wrote – “If your destination, or the steps you are going to take into the future, take up so much of your attention that they become more important to you than the step you are taking now, then you completely miss the journey’s inner purpose. Which, has nothing to do with where you are going or what you are doing, but everything to do with the how.” The question I ask myself each day is – what steps can I take now, to shift my energy, and my mindset, to translate my dreams into reality. The Power of Now is shifting your mindset to focus on creating the future that you want for yourself and your loved ones. If you believe that you can, you will. Getting uncomfortable is a sure-fire way to success. I have worked with so many of us are leaders who want to get to the next level but they are afraid of the discomfort. By stepping into the uncomfortable ‘icky’ zone, you are able to step into the next level of your life. Globally, only 1 in 3 business are owned by women. Getting past the uncomfortable is how you strengthen and gain from uneasiness. If you don’t get out of your comfort zone – you will not step into your power zone.  My final tip - remember the world is not coming at you, it is coming from you. Each step you take is the one that will propel you forward. The best steps are authentic steps. They are in alignment with your values, your intent, your purpose and will allow you to bloom. So, believe in yourself and you will step into your power zone.
