How we see delight determines whether or not we indeed find it. If delight is merely a commodity, we will settle for whatever brings it quickest and sustains it the easiest. When everything is about us, we are living in the superficial. We can’t offer God our true selves or experience true delight when steeped in superficiality. Sadly, we settle for the superficial because we can control it, but faith resides outside ourselves when we loosen control. The source of your delight is found wherever your faith lies. The subject of your faith determines the durability and sustainability of our delight. How we see faith determines how we live in it, and how we see God determines our ability to experience true and lasting delight.
