My One Word 2021

When we were young, growth seemed natural and available. As we grow older, change seems to stagnate and become unachievable. We get so used to what God has done and "should do" that we stop longing to know Him and, instead, we settle for what we have always known and experienced. We spend too much of our lives bouncing back and forth between stagnation and frustration. Without a disruption, we drift aimlessly in the direction we've always gone. Change is possible, but focus is required. Clarity comes from sustained focus over time. My One Word replaces our broken promises with a vision for real change. Rather than swearing off the past, with your word, you're moving toward the future. Your best doesn't remain in the past; it resides in the present with an eye to the future.
