Enough Is Enough | Part 3

Our struggles become our story, but we get a say in determining its contents. We either let our struggles define us or shape us. We can overstate the struggle, let it overpower us, and tell a tale of regret and shame. Or, we can allow God to shape and form us through the process and write a story that declares our trust in God's faithfulness and redemption. The challenge facing all of us is to struggle in the right direction. Our inner critic's hyper-critical, over-calculating voice speaks into the inconsolable longing and fear to matter and contribute something of worth. We need a perspective shaped by something other than our inner critic. Our weakness and insufficiency are not an indictment of our worth or a harsh reminder that we're not perfect, but rather a beautiful reality that we do not have to be.
