The cross stands as the greatest demonstration of God’s love. On those wooden beams, a collision and compression of human sin and divine grace took place. Two systems collided and compressed together in a moment where the Creator touched His separated and estranged creation. The cross is what God endured as He forgave. We typically consider the call to repent as a threat of bad news when viewed through the cross; it serves as a response to good news. To repent is to return and remain returned to the King who sets us free.
