Harry Potter - Hogwarts Was Never Safe

Popcorn Chats - A podcast by Katie Healy and Michae Andrew

Categories:

Happy YA month here at Popcorn Chats! Katie and Michae decided that for the month of April, they would be revisiting four of the biggest YA franchises of all time. And to start, they had to kick it off with the ultimate YA franchise: Harry Potter. Katie shares her childhood love of the series, while Michae shares her thoughts on watching it for the first time. They discuss how Harry Potter set the trend for other YA film adaptations, how the franchise has stood the test of time thanks to broad appeal, as well as the highlights and drawbacks of the entire 8 films. Michae fangirls over Snape, Katie shares what she would’ve done if she was Voldemort, and both mutually agree that Dumbledore is actually one of the shadiest characters in the series. They also look at how the actors have faired moving on from such iconic roles and if they were able to successfully break out of the “franchise curse”. Tune in next week to hear them break down Twilight! Find Katie and Michae on their other platforms:  Instagram and Twitter: @katayhealayy @michaelamandrew  Katie's Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkvwyif-reiFvI3Cxe7PE3g  Katie's Short Films: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn_VizHMrpK-spUheLTbsA--- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/katie-healy/supportSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/popcornchats.
