Divergent - Justice For Veronica

Popcorn Chats - A podcast by Katie Healy and Michae Andrew

Categories:

It's our last episode of YA month on Popcorn Chats. We hope you all enjoyed listening to our episodes about these franchises as much as we enjoyed recording them. In this week's conversation, Katie and Michae discuss one of the least successful book to film franchise adaptations in the YA category, Divergent. Michae addresses her love for the book series and the injustice that took place in the making of these films and the straying away from the great Veronica Roth's vision. Katie, once again, attacks Hollywood for their tendency to focus on money rather than the heart of stories and the devoted young audiences. Both Katie and Michae spend some time gushing over Theo James, who plays Four in the films. They also break down what they think contributed to the failure of these films at the box office and the decision to forgo production of the fourth and final film in the series. YA month may be over, but there are still plenty of exciting things to look forward to on Popcorn Chats! Tune in next week to hear Katie and Michae rank the Game of Thrones characters.
