Rob Oliver: Take the Leap

Rob Oliver is the host of the Learning From Smart People podcast. At 21 years old, Rob sustained a spinal cord injury while body surfing on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The injury left him paralyzed from the chest down with limited use of his arms and hands. These limitations forced Rob to take a long hard look at life, relationships and success. The insights that he gained during that experience and through the ensuing years of living with quadriplegia are invaluable, practical, powerful and applicable to all humanity. In this episode, we discuss:How you are not defined by what you are not able to do, but rather what you are able to doThe importance of taking the leap towards entrepreneurship and not relying on others to make it a realityThe qualities that we all have that make us amazing and unique and how we can use them to do incredible thingsHow investing in others and building relationships help, not only yourself, but empower those around you as wellHow everyone has something to teach us and listening will contribute to our own successI hope you will find this episode as exciting and informative as I have. Over the course of his life Rob has learned that we all have something to offer and fostering our relationships with each other helps empower us all to achieve our goals.
