On this episode, author and biotechnology entrepreneur Safi Bahcall discusses his new book “Loonshots: How to Nurture the Crazy Ideas That Win Wars, Cure Diseases, and Transform Industries.” After working as a consultant for McKinsey, Safi Bahcall co-founded the biotechnology company Synta Pharmaceuticals, serving as its CEO for 13 years. In 2011 he worked with the President Obama’s Council of Science Advisors on how to transform the future of US science and technology research.
