YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/@J.FellowsPoetry - New Poetry published regularly! Old Poems discussed today: ‘As A Sapling’ and Monkey’n Around As A Sapling: Fruitful knowledge isn’t born without a sting, It can poison your existence as a sapling. You’re not allowed to blossom until the others have had a go, Your strength is your weakness, Be whole and be bold. Your rooted differently, Others can see, But don’t let it hurt you significantly. As you grow in different ways, You find nutrients far away. Others can’t reach, So they beseech, Why you were born this way? Monkey’n Around: Stay Banana stay, You make me happy everyday. As I swing from tree to tree, I’m as happy as can be, With you right next to me. So I sing a song, And you come along, Looking happier than me, To play with thee.
