Everyone deserves a dignified life đđŒ But the reality is that many men, women and children are subjected to forced labour and trafficking every single day. This happens everywhere around us and is a fast-growing criminal industry only second to arms. Returning to the show I had the pleasure of re-interviewing my friend Spencer Lodge. Spencer is a best-selling author, the founder of $100M valuation, and one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Dubai. But we donât talk about any of that⊠Certain things happen in life that make you reassess your values. Once a cutthroat businessman focused on building extreme financial wealth, Spencer has found a purpose thatâs a lot bigger than he is and itâs a very dark industry. Historically Iâve avoided looking too deeply into this stuff. I had an awareness it was happening but I had no idea of the extent of the depravity. It can be difficult to acknowledge the horrors of this world without it upsetting us which is why we shy away from it. The truth is over 8 million children are trafficked every year and those are very conservative numbers. As a Mother myself, I canât just pretend I donât know that. In this episode, we talk about the harsh reality of being born into the Badi community in Nepal. They are considered the lowest class individuals and have been all but exiled from their own community resulting in forced child prostitution and trafficking as standard practice from nine years old. Spencer talks about his life's realignment and how he has found true purpose and meaning in working with victims of human trafficking and lays bare not only the inspiring stories of those who are fighting to save children all over the world but also the terrifying details of the powerful, twisted cabals operating in the hidden world of today. BEST MOMENTS 'There is nothing that makes me feel better than knowing that I've played a tiny part in the lives of these kids' 'When your focus in life is making money, you'll work out eventually that it isn't really a very worthy goal' 'We need to get out of this space where we're a victim' 'Unfortunately, this goes all the way to the top' âWe need to work harder and trying to be kinderâ VALUABLE RESOURCES On A Mission - https://omny.fm/shows/on-a-mission  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/EllieMckayÂ
