This week, we’re joined by physician and medical researcher Dr. Genevieve Eastabrook, and columnist and commentator Andrew Lawton, to discuss the politics of COVID-19, lockdowns, and compulsory vaccine mandates. About Dr. Genevieve Eastabrook Dr. Eastabrook completed medical school at the University of Calgary, residency training at the University of British Columbia, and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine, as well as the Royal College certified Clinical Investigator Program, also at UBC. In 2012, she joined Western University’s division of Maternal Fetal Medicine as a clinician-researcher and in 2017, she took on the role of director of the MFM subspecialty training program. As a member of the Pregnancy Research Group, Dr. Eastabrook’s current research focus is on placental dysfunction and cardiovascular maladaptation to pregnancy, particularly within the obese population. About Andrew Lawton Andrew Lawton is a broadcaster and columnist. Currently, he is a fellow at True North and a weekly columnist for Loonie Politics. His written work has been published across the world, including in the Washington Post, the National Post, the Toronto Sun, the Edmonton Sun, and Global News. Andrew has appeared as a commentator on CBC, CTV, TVO, CTS, and on BBC World. Andrew ran as a Progressive Conservative candidate in Ontario’s 2018 provincial election.
