Twisted Vacancy Live on MoCDA

MoCDA: Museum of Contemporary Digital Art - A podcast by Museum of Contemporary Digital Art

Categories:

Welcome to the MoCDA talk series. Today, we're talking to Indonesian digital and crypto artist, Twisted Vacancy. Twisted Vacancy is based in Jakarta and his artist name originated from what the artist experiences as a form of conversation in his head. Heavily influenced by the 1980’s Japanese artists and 1990’s culture, Twisted Vacancy represents many perspectives on life, pop-culture, and esotericism through allegories of South East Asian culture. We created this as a response to COVID-19. These talks are a way of documenting the times we live in and to share thoughts from international artists and the art industry in times of social distancing.  I hope you won’t mind the quality of the recording as all of the talks were live-streamed from Instagram.  Thank you to all the artists, curators and art experts who took part in this series.
