Sofia Crespo Live on MoCDA

Welcome to MoCDA talk series.  We’re connecting with Sofia Crespo, an artist working with a huge interest in biology-inspired technologies. One of Sofia’s main focus is the way organic life uses artificial mechanisms to simulate itself and evolve, this implying the idea that technologies are a biased product of the organic life that created them and not a completely separated object. On the side, Sofia is also hugely concerned with the dynamic change in the role of the artists working with machine learning techniques. We created this as a response to Covid19. These talks are a way of documenting the times we live in and to share thoughts from international artists and the art industry in times of social distancing.  I hope you won’t mind the quality of the recording as all of the talks were live-streamed from Instagram.  Thank you to all the artists, curators and art experts who took part in this series.
