Arda Yalkin, We Are Ha:ar Live on MoCDA

We're in conversation with Arda Yalkin from duo We Are Ha:ar based between Istanbul and New York. At Ha:ar, Arda and Hande Şekerciler are pursuing new forms of expression by blending classical artworks and new technology. Arda and Hande master a wide range of production methods ranging from traditional sculpture and painting to digital video, animation, 3D modeling, together with current mainstream media aesthetics. Overall their practice is informed by questions relating to the civilization we create, the technology we produce, and conflicts we generate with our way of being. We created this as a response to Covid19. These talks are a way of documenting the times we live in and to share thoughts from international artists and the art industry in times of social distancing.  I hope you won’t mind the quality of the recording as all of the talks were live-streamed from Instagram.  Thank you to all the artists, curators and art experts who took part in this series.
