Robert Deshawn Childers

Missing Persons - A podcast by AbJack Entertainment - Saturdays

Episode 47 Robert Deshawn Childers 51 year-old Robert Deshawn Childers, known as Shawn to his family and friends, vanished under mysterious circumstances in Florence, Alabama on September 17, 2016. According to his friend/roommate David Nix, Shawn walked away from his residence that day between 9am and 12PM, and never returned. Almost immmediately, Shawn's family became suspicious of Nix's story because Shawn suffered from physical limitations that made it very difficult to walk without extreme pain. They felt that Shawn would have driven his truck if he needed to go someplace, which was found locked up at home. When Shawn's family dug more into Shawn's life during the time just before he went missing, they found that he had been the victim of frequent abuse at the hands of Nix, who cleaned the home he shared with Shawn using bleach right after the disappearance, and soon got rid of the vehicle he owned. It seems that Nix may have been iding something, but has since died. If he knew anything, or had anything to do with Shawn's disappearance, he took his secrets to the grave. As suspicious as Nix seems, Shawn also battled substance abuse and depression, so there is no shortage of directions to look in for Shawn's family who desperately want to know what happened to him. In this episode, Shawn's Brother David, Sister in Law Carol, and ex-wife Lisa are guests in this episode, and discuss Shawn's puzzling disappearance.
