There’s so much going on right now with the movie world right now. Even though we needed to record this earlier than usual because of vacation plans, we were able to fill this show up to the brim with Hollywood news commentary, awards season speculation, reviews of movies & TV, audience interaction games, box office projections, and of course, a whole bunch of new trailers to discuss. Yes, that all sounds like just another MMOW to us too, but let’s be honest. With Comic Con going on, this news is flying fast, and this episode took shape pretty damned quick. Full disclosure, we did record the episode on Friday. So anything happening after that, we can’t cover. But hopefully you get your movie talk fix nonetheless on what we did cover. Our Oscar Race Update discussed Damien Chazelle’s next film with Emma Stone, Brad Pitt, and Ryan Gosling, openers for the London Film Festival & TIFF, and we learned an important fact about field for this year’s Best Documentary Feature. In News of the Week, we covered the major story of a new 007 in Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch, and Eddie Murphy’s comeback 2020 with Netflix. Then we reviewed The Lion King, and of course, that’s when things go off the rails. MMO’ers, we’ve been recording so much. In fact, we recorded next week’s 4 episodes on top of the last two weeks previously released 8 already so that you don’t have an interruption in your MMO podcast feed while we’re on vacation. Now that being said, forgive us for how goofy and ludacris we get for the rest of this episode. We have fun with another SixDegreesOfMMO, give out those awards, and offer you a new challenge. There’s a box office to update, and we have another discussion the state of Disney’s Live Action Remakes. Then in Trailer Thoughts, we cover new looks at It: Chapter 2, CATS, Top Gun: Maverick, Ad Astra, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, The Red Sea Diving Resort, & The King’s Man before finishing with a DYC on next week’s theatrical releases, Barbie, Netflix’s dip at the stock market, Terminator: Dark Fate, and some more Tarantino spin-off ideas. It’s another LOADED MMOW, and as always, we wanna know what you think. We’re at MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail. You can subscribe / rate / review / like / share / & listen to us on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Google Play, Tune In, Spotify, and just about wherever you listen to podcasts.
