We discuss three Academy news stories at the beginning the the episode including the new Academy streaming service, Roman Polanski’s bizarre new lawsuit, & our takeaways from the new Cannes film list. Then we’re all about What We’re Watching where we review the Scream franchise, Game of Thrones, High Life, etc, and play a cruel & supremely difficult game of SeeBuySkip. There’s a new SixDegreesOfMMO after we discuss so many fantastic submissions from you, our wonderful audience after last week’s challenge. As usual, we have a box office update followed by a look ahead at next week’s releases & a news story on Moviepass in DYC before we review 4 new trailers including Child’s Play, Hobbs & Shaw, Dark Phoenix, and Skin. It’s another loaded hollywood week gone. We have all the hot takes you can possibly want, and then we get you ready for the Hollyweird week to come. If it’s anything like last week, it’ll be just as jam packed as this one, and maybe moreso because Avengers: Endgame hit theaters! Last week we guessed the plot in one of our more animated programs yet. Mike1 thinks the end game is literal & apocalyptic, while Also Mike runs with two of the more bizarre theories we’ve ever had. Show 2 will be more of a serious episode where we debate who will live or die. That’s right. We’re gonna give you an Avengers: Endgame dead pool (no, not that one). We bet on who will survive the most ominous subtitle ever! Show 3 will be another in our Top 5’s series where we discuss some of the most colossal, impactful movie events in our theater hopping lives, and then we’ll give you a brief first reaction show after we see the film next week. Our Pixar movie re-watch will likely take a break next week, and we’ll be back at you the following weeks with many more to come (cuz we’re only 4 films into an eventual 21!). And if you haven’t yet, do listen to our MMO Interviews podcast series where we just released our chat with youtube star auteur, Chris Reinacher. We discuss his origins in Buzzfeed & Second City as well as his fun new podcast Wine & Weed and his groundbreaking new channel. Plus, he does reveal his favorite fried chicken, which blew our minds after the ChickenWatch series on Buzzfeed made our bellies growl for the last 4 years. As always, let us know what you think. Send those responses to SixDegreesOfMMO & have fun with our twitter questions. We’re at MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail.
