It’s the fourth and perhaps (?!) best film of our Tarantino Re-Watch, Kill Bill Vol. 1! We have been loving these retrospectives of late. Here’s another rave review for QT. We share the production backstory, explain the Tarantino-Verse, & analyze the screenwriting. The first half goes behind the scenes to chat about all of the making of stories famous to this production. We include a 2003 Film Year in Review to give you a context for our Oscar Lens and chat about our own first watch stories. Then we review the production values, performances, and script, including a special “What Made Quentin Dance” Segment focused on the soundtrack, and there’s also an homages section where we celebrate all QT’s influences & shout outs. MMO Theater acts as the spoiler warning interlude, where we perform like the attention seeking fools we are. Then we discuss all of our best scenes in a section called Trademark Tarantino. Here, we analyze all of the classic, underrated, & innovative scenes that have made it so iconic. Yes, there’s a worst scenes segment, where we try to be fair. But we also get back into the appreciation fairly quick as we then dive into a segment called Screenwriting Advice From Quentin Tarantino, where we discuss how his writing process. Finally, we end the show with a look at the Tarantino-Verse, where we discuss some easter eggs and how fan theories connect all these terrific films. We’re now 5 episodes and 4 films into this re-watch series, and of course, Kill Bill Vol. 2 is next. With our Pixar Series just concluded, we’ll be focusing more on current films for the month of July. Annabelle Comes Home, Midsommar, Yesterday, Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Farewell, The Lion King, and for certain, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood are all on our schedule. We’re also making some more big exciting plans for new platforms and ways you can get your MMO. So do please stay tuned.
