The Diamond Drill and the Clenched Fist

Delighted to share this; it's a meditation about what Buddhists might call emptiness. But it's also a simple technique that I use to keep sane. Basically it's like this - I believe, I become enthusiastic, and then it slips away. So I let it go, and relish the space of non-belief. I don't judge myself as good or bad because I believe or don't believe. I take them both as like the weather. Faith comes like the tide. it comes in. Then it goes out. So I walk the empty strand, and that too is ok. In fact this oscillating from one to the other is a very buddhist thing, a diamond drill whereby the mind reaches a clearer light. But don't worry; it's a very simple reflection this weekend. And I hope you enjoy. Join my podcast on Patreon.com Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
