E5: 1980's Tottenham pt.1

We start our new mini series SpursByDecade with the 1980's. Joined by my Dad Mark and his friend Jason we discuss one of the most illustrious chapters in Spurs's history. A period that saw some of the greatest ever names put on the Tottenham shirt, including Glenn Hoddle, Steve Archibald, Garth Crooks, Paul Gascoigne and of course the two cult hero Argentinians Osvaldo Ardiles and Ricky Villa, this 10 year span saw us reach seven separate finals resulting in back-to-back FA Cup wins & one UEFA Cup. Listen to part two where we cover the cultural side of the 80's. Including the rise of hooliganism, the role fashion played and just what it was like being on the terraces during this period.

Om Podcasten

The Memory Lane Podcast takes a nostalgic look at this grand old team's illustrious past times in the eyes of us, the fans. We also dive into the current talking points surrounding the club. I'm Kieran, host of the show. I have been lucky enough to travel all over Europe supporting Tottenham Hotspur, with my family and friends for the past 15 years. Over that time the travels helped me realise that the real beauty of football runs so much deeper than just collecting silverware and hopefully this podcast will help to explain why. Memory Lane will be focusing on Spurs's history with a sprinkle of the current times. We'll be chatting about some of the funniest, most memorable trips and moments my guests and I have had while following Spurs. Each episode will take a look at a different topic. Keep an eye out for chats on specific decades, famous games and goals, former players, recent matches, eventful trips and even more eventful managerial eras. I'd love for you to join me on the journey. #COYS Twitter: https://twitter.com/MemoryLanePod Youtube: https://tinyurl.com/MemorylaneYoutube Instagram: https://tinyurl.com/Memorylaneinsta
