The children finally finish their new meeting place, way up in a big old oak tree. They spend the afternoon there eating and drinking and talking. They're interrupted by Scamper barking at a boy carrying a kitten. He gets suspicious but Scamper won't let him climb the tree. When they come back the next day.....someone or something has been in the treehouse!
