Episode 76: Elizabeth Rose - Leeds Festival of Gothica

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed chatting with Elizabeth! I learned so much!Elizabeth is the Lead Coordinator of Leeds Festival of Gothica. She tells me all about 1980s Leeds being at the forefront of the alternative and goth scene. I also learn about the Sophie Lancaster Foundation and the great work they do; about the Batwings mural in Kirkgate Market and about the Leeds Alternative Market. There's an archive on the Leodis website where anyone can upload photos of flyers or nights out in Leeds that represent the city's alternative scene. Link below.Elizabeth chose to feature the track "Snake Dance" by The March Violets. The next Alternative Market takes place at Kirkgate Market on Saturday, 1st July, 2023. https://www.facebook.com/LeedsFestivalofGothica/https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/people/leeds-alternative-market-12-of-the-best-pictures-from-kirkgate-market-as-gothic-traders-return-4070583https://www.instagram.com/leedsfestivalofgothica/?hl=enhttps://www.sophielancasterfoundation.com/https://www.facebook.com/LeedsMarkets/?locale=en_GBhttps://www.advintageous.co.uk/https://www.leodis.net/SearchResults/YWx0ZXJuYXRpdmU/?page=1https://www.facebook.com/TheMarchViolets/?locale=en_GBhttps://marchviolets.bandcamp.com/album/made-glorious-2https://www.instagram.com/leedsmarket/?hl=enI make no money from this podcast and all I ask is that you enjoy it, tell your friends and if you could leave me a review I would be most grateful. If you know of someone you think would make a great guest, do get in touch - [email protected] send an mp3 or a wav if you would like your track featuring on an episode.
