Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix episode "World On Fire" [3:14] World On Fire was a great non-transition transition episode in the Daredevil series. And the favorite by many viewers. The Dinner Date between Fisk and Vanessa really cemented their somewhat unbelievable relationship. We "see" how Daredevil "sees" at least in this incarnation. And the two definitely culminate in a world - or at least a city - on fire. We also mention the wonderful settings for the sight impaired while viewing the series on Netflix and the validity and accuracy of how the blindness is portrayed on screen in the series as well. Foggy surprises us how much he really does get in with the ladies now doesn't he? But wait until you hear Keir's take on Foggy! Now with the Russian decapitation the Evil League Of Evil starts to show signs of cracking. And hands off to the camera crew for making the 360 degree shot in the taxi. How many references and tips of the hat did you catch in the episode? The hosts take their turn at calling some out. Ohhh, he was in Pilot episode of The Americans who had very badly mistreated Elizabeth during her KGB training. Madame Gao surely is the most dangerous of the bunch. WHOA!! That Mandarin singer went out like Marvin in the car (Pulp Fiction)! Fantastic fight in ally again. I'm amazed how they chose to film most of it from the car when Murdoch appeared. I need to fresh up my Spanish. Managed to pick up some words like Fregadero = freezer...oh wait it is kitchen sink. Matt, Karen and Froggy, yeah their scenes fell very naturally in this episode. What is the Kingpin playing on his jacket? Vladimir asking for ALL had to be a homage to Gary Oldman's "EVERYONE" in León the Professional. Claire and Matt's second scene more for I was hoping for, that she can't fall in love with somebody, who is so close to the darkness. I wasn't happy with their kiss earlier in the episode. This show continues humanizing Fisk. A villain who doesn't enjoy what he does but does it for his own rightful reasons. A big departure in Marvel film universe compared to Ronan, the Dark Elf played by Christopher Eccleston or Red Skull. I really enjoy this approach more. "Sexual Rain Man" Heh! So all was planned by Kingpin that Vladimir finds out he killed his brother to then get all his troops into one location. One of the four in the text message which were blown up. 5th episode so far my favorite.
