Interview with Tom Dunlop, CEO Summize

In this episode Tom Dunlop, CEO at Summize tells us why he founded his own legal tech software company. As a practising lawyer himself, he found a lot of products were obviously very technologically advanced, but they required a lot of implementation time. But secondly, cost was quite prohibitive for smaller in house legal teams. And also it required them to change the way they were currently working. In response, Summize's ethos as a product is ease of use. He feels during the Covid 19 pandemic there's definitely been a change in attitude, because you can't work the same way you did in the new world, whatever that looks like. Despite the economic challenges, he thinks people will start spending again..And for him as the leader of a legal tech company that is an enabler to change, there's an appetite from lawyers to do that now, whereas previously, even when he was in his old roles, there was resistance.Tune in to hear more of what he had to say.
