Interview with Adam Nguyen, co-founder eBrevia

Adam Nguyen is a co-founder of eBrevia, a leading enterprise contract analysis software company that applies machine learning to quickly and accurately extract key information from unstructured data. Prior to eBrevia he was Chief-of-Staff and Legal Officer of Vantage Properties, a 350-person real estate private equity firm. Adam practised law at Paul, Weiss and Shearman & Sterling, where he focused on private equity and hedge fund formation, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Adam holds a B.A. from Columbia and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He also studied at the University College London. He is a thought-leader on artificial intelligence, innovation, and automation in the legal sector.In this episode he discusses how AI is helping tackle some of the big issues in the sector, a sector that is going through economic upheaval not seen since the crash of 2008/09.Using AI tools like eBrevia companies increasingly are able to identify documents - be that for Libor or GDPR or force majeure - look for clauses and terms, amend those terms, and change those documents.
