Following Chris Walkland’s milk market report, Will and Ben are joined by NFU Cymru President, Aled Jones, and Kite Director, Neil Blackburn. Aled discusses the accumulation of current farming issues throughout Wales including SFS, TB and NVZ’s. Neil and Will discuss the challenges and opportunities SFS presents for farmers, and Aled highlights how the engagement and attendance at farmer meetings across Wales recently is a reflection of the sentiment on these topics. They go on to discuss how these tensions are prompting discussions on farmer protests, and the impact this is having on mental health.
