A review of retailer sustainability targets and progress

This week Will and Ben are joined by Hayley Campbell-Gibbons, Director at Campbell-Gibbons Consulting and Ainsley Baker, Kite Partner, to discuss a report which has been put together by Hayley entitled ‘How company priorities align to the UK dairy roadmap’. Hayley summarises the roadmap progress over the last 10 years as well as the carbon and climate objectives set by retailers and how they are working towards them. Ainsley describes what has already been delivered from the farmer perspective and how this has been achieved through retailer- processer- supplier alignment. They also discuss the need for farmers to engage with the dairy roadmap priorities, particularly to help encourage retailers away from the strategy of reducing animal protein consumption.
