Kim and Ket's Survive the Cellar Ep. 9: Chelsea Stardust and Hayley Griffith

This week in the cellar, ghost hosts, Kim & Ket, are joined by Chelsea Stardust and Hayley Griffith. Chelsea is a Los Angeles filmmaker responsible for such films as All that we Destroy and Satanic Panic. Chelsea even lured the star of Satanic Panic, Hayley Griffith, down to the cellar with her! Hayley is an actress from the Big Apple. They’re both the latest victims of the Quiz Show Killer. Will Chelsea and Hayley survive the cellar and escape with their lives? Or will Kim & Ket finally get to have that old school slumber party! Let’s play Oujia! Spoiler alert: we’re calling ourselves. Chelsea Stardust  @chelseastardust Chelsea Stardust has been a horror film fan since the age of 10 when her father showed her George Romero's Night of the Living Dead and Tod Browning's Dracula. When she wasn’t racing sled dogs in the snowy Midwest, Chelsea consumed all the cinema she could get her hands on. During high school she attended night classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where she assisted filmmaker Robert Banks Jr. in shooting Super 8 experimental horror films. Robert also introduced her to films like Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Larry Cohen’s God Told Me To and Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes.   After high school, Chelsea attended Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College School of Film program where she focused on Directing. Upon graduating, Chelsea moved to sunny Los Angeles to pursue her filmmaking dreams. After working for comedy legends Ivan Reitman and Judd Apatow, Chelsea found her horror home at Blumhouse Productions (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister, The Purge, Get Out, Split, Us) where she served as the executive assistant to Jason Blum for several year. She also shadowed Adam Robitel on the 2018 Blumhouse film Insidious:The Last Key.   Since leaving her post at Blumhouse Productions, Chelsea started directing full time. Chelsea released four short films on Crypt TV, Slay Per View, Marco Polo, Project Hope, Under The Bed, which have exceeded over 1M views. She also directed a horror/musical/comedy for the stage titled Slashed! The Musical for the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival, which was nominated for Best Musical,  Screamiest Show and won the Encore Award. She also directed the holiday-horror radio play Christmas Eve for Earbud Theater, which was released in December 2017 to rave reviews.  Chelsea’s first feature film, the science fiction thriller All That We Destroy, was part of the Blumhouse Into The Dark series and is currently available on Hulu. Her second feature film, the horror comedy Satanic Panic, written by novelist Grady Hendrix and produced by Fangoria, is currently streaming on Shudder and is also available on blu-ray and VHS.  She is repped by United Talent Agency and Heroes & Villains Entertainment.  Hayley Griffith  @hayl_griffith  Hayley Griffith is an actor living New York City. Hayley made her film debut in 2019 as Sam in Satanic Panic, which was directed by Chelsea Stardust! She played Ruth in the feature film of Jack London’s Martin Eden, which is set to release later this year. She has appeared in numerous television shows such as Bull, Law and Order: SVU, The Mysteries of Laura, and The Loudest Voice.  Follow all the happenings in the Cellar at: Insta: @kkstcpodcast Twitter: @kkstcpodcast A Dread Podcast Network original podcast See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

A Horror Movie/Comedy Podcast... with a twist! What do you get when two best friends, and horror movie fans, convince themselves that they would definitely be the Final Girls at the end of the movie and never the ones “running up the stairs when they should be going out the front door?" You get Kim and Ket Stay Alive... Maybe (KKSAM for short). Each week, Kim Burns and Ketryn Porter take turns spoiling the fuck out of a horror movie one of them hasn't seen. Through very scientific (not scientific), totally indisputable (very disputable) methods — and amidst ridiculous tangents about their personal lives, childhood fears and wild college days — they play a game to determine whether they would #StayAlive at the end. Come play with us!
