TASTES LIKE PAMELA BUCKLEY AND JAMES FREUND GOT THEIR NAMES BACK. NOW WHO KILLED THEM AND WHY?

Two beautiful young adults meet somewhere (probably on the road) and team up to travel together. They came from different parts of the country, they were likely hitch-hiking in the era of that being more popular, they were nicely dressed and not cheaply accessorized, and murdered and left in a ditch. Not shot once. Or twice. But three times in the chest with a large caliber weapon. It took took 44 years to find out who they were, that they were not related and where they had come from. Even though the actual weapon that killed them was identified in the possession of someone who said it was a gift from his brother....(!!!)... we still don't have an arrest for this double homicide.
