I had a great conversation with Felicia Forte in Detroit. Felicia paints intimate paintings that highlight the wonder of the easily overlooked, a sandwich, an ashtray or an unguarded moment. She has shown her work in numerous group and solo exhibitions. In 2015 and 16 her portraiture was exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London for The BP Portrait Award.
