#8 Raising your hand during class as an introverted chilld

Do you remember what it was like for you being in school? And then particularly how you behaved in class when your teacher asked a question. Not specifically to you but in general for the class to answer.   Were you the type of person who raised their hand and who was all excited and eager to tell the answer? Or were you the hoe who kind of looked down at your desk and essentially did everything to avoid the teacher’s eyes and to avoid drawing attention to yourself so you wouldn’t be called out to give the answer?   If you were the one to raise your hand and you really wanted to tell the answer, why were you so eager to do that? Or if you were the one to almost hide underneath your desk, what was the reason that you felt so reluctant to speak up? Did you want to show your teacher or your fellow classmates that you were smart and knew the answer? Did you want to show that you were brave and that you didn’t mind speaking up? Or were you just a lot more shy and afraid of saying the wrong thing and being afraid of being laughed at?   And how has that changed now that you are older? Do you still behave the same way as when you were a child or has your behavior changed completely? Or do you still have that same initial impulse but you act differently on it?  Do some time travelling for yourself and find out what was the reason behind your behavior and how you have grown since then.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/inthrivert) See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Om Podcasten

Living life in a way that is comfortable for you is not always easy when you are more introverted, especially when (Western) society seems to favor extroverted behavior. Many introverts do not feel comfortable behaving and expressing themselves in a way that is natural to them for fear of being judged and criticized. Through sharing knowledge, insights, experiences, and tips, the Inthrivert podcast aims to be a beacon for introverts to look towards while navigating their life. To empower them to embrace their introverted nature, and to show them how it can be a source of strength instead of something that is holding them back.
